Start by working out what actually happened, because each situation has its own route. A forgotten password takes minutes, a lost email or phone needs an identity check, and a disabled account needs an appeal from the notice.

It means Instagram has already reviewed the account and the appeal button in the app is gone. It does not automatically mean the account is lost for good, but repeating the same steps will not change anything.

It is one of the most serious categories Meta uses, but it also catches ordinary accounts that shared news, political content or a photo of the wrong person. What you can do depends on whether the notice still offers a review.

An account integrity ban usually means Instagram's systems decided the account is not authentic, is linked to banned accounts or is run by automation. Genuine accounts do get caught. Appeal from the notice, calmly, and do not open a new account.
